Evenstar Pendant from The Lord of the Rings

Arwen the Elven Princess, known also to her people as Evenstar because of her unparalleled beauty, is destined to leave Middle-Earth and sail to the Undying Lands of the West. While this fate looms before her, she falls in love with Aragorn, a mortal man, and is then faced with the heart-wrenching choice to leave Middle-Earth with her people or forego her immortality for the man she loves.

This is an image of the original pendant designed by Jasmine Waston. This is the officially licenced Evenstar pendant replica produced by the Noble Collection.

The original pendants used in the movie were designed by Jasmine Watson. Her design was inspired by the flowing intertwining lines of the art nouveau style. It was made of finely engraved sterling silver, and set with swarovkski crystals and has qualities of both a star and flower.

My replica pendants are meticulously hand-made in order to capture the delicacy and beauty of the Evenstar. Here are the specific details for each of my pieces:

  • Each one is sculpted from polymer clay and rolled to a 1 mm thickness so that the piece is neither heavy nor bulky.
  • Using an embossing tool and an etching tool I add the carving details to the base.
  • I carefully place the filigree work using a thin string of clay. I pay close attention to the loops at the top and the bottom to ensure they are the perfect shape and that the proportions are correct.
  • The piece is then carefully colored with a grey acrylic base coat.
  • The front and back of the pendant are covered with silver leafing foil and sealed.
  • A silver-white frost is applied over the leafing to create a more muted color.
  • Everything is sealed with 2 coats of satin-finish water-based varnish. The final effect resembles unpolished sterling silver.
  • There are 7 genuine Swarovski crystals glued onto the piece.
  • The bail is carefully twisted so that it will never come undone and a crystal bicone bead slipped onto it.
This is a lovely replica of the Evenstar pendant seen in the Lord of the Rings films. This pendant can be worn by both male and female the same way that both Arwen and Aragorn both wear it in films.

I make 3 different sizes of Evenstar pendants:

  • Authentic Replica Pendant - 3.5 cm x 6 cm
  • Miniature Pendant - 2 cm x 4 cm
  • 3/4 Size Pendant - 2.5 cm x 4.5 cm
The authentic and 3/4 size pendants feature 2 different sizes of navettes just like the pendant seen in the movie, while the mini pendant features crystals of the same size

I also make a miniature version of the Evenstar pendant. I created it because I wanted something smaller and more delicate to wear on a daily basis. The detail work on it is equal to the detail on my larger pendants.

NEW! The most popular of my pendants is the 3/4 size version of the Evenstar. It is larger than the miniature pendant, but smaller than the life size pendant. This is my personal favorite because it is not "larger than life" but is still distinctly recognizable.
